Geruch: Ein fruchtiges Bukett nach Zitrusfrchten.
Geschmack: Sehr fruchtig nach Pflaume und Mirabellen,
leichte Sherrynoten, nicht zuviel. Ein wenig Orange. Sehr weich
und rund. Etwas Lakritze. Wrziges Finish.
Fazit: Super lecker, trinkt sogar meine Frau Als

Glenrothes 1992/2004 (43%, OB) Colour:
yellow gold. Nose: less fresh and playful, and more spirity.
Caramel, oak, nuts, some sherry Less complex than the older
version. Gets flowery after a minute or two, and fruity as well
(apple compote), but the whole is somewhat restrained. Some
winey notes take control after a while. Mouth: quite a lot of
sherry, but somewhat restrained. Much less complex and
interesting than its older brother. Gets a little watery and
fragmented, with some bitter orange on one side an some wood on
the other side. Gets quite honeyed Rather short finish, on
honey and oak. Not bad, sure, but nothing special either. 80
points. (November 13, 2004) |

The Glenrothes 1992
Vintage, 43% ABV,
A very fragrant, fruity whisky (orange, tangerine, plum,
nectarine) with interwoven notes of honeyed malt, toasted oak,
vanilla, and subtle anise. I love the creamy, mouth-coating
texture of this whisky and its soothing finish. All the vintages
of Glenrothes that have been released over the years are worthy
of your hard-earned money, and this one is no exception. Theres
not as much depth as some of the older, more mature expressions,
but the lively youthfulness of this whisky makes up for it.

it away from the malt. The nose is poor, though. 43% |

The Glenrothes
1992 vintage is characterized by a medium golden appearance
that is clear and bright. With a soft and fruity bouquet
highlighted with flavors of ripe black plums and licorice and a
soft citrus palate with notes of orange zest and sherry oak, the
1992 vintage has a spicy finish with a medium length. |
Tasting Notes Royal Miles |
Nose: Raisins, sultanas, plums, bananas
and malty honey tones. Although sherried, still quite fresh.
Taste: Very soft, slightly tannic and dry. Dried
apricots and bubblegum.
Overall: Flavoursome but still fresh. |
